Street Fighter character |
Down Forward High Punch, and you can throw the
Aduken! (That's a flaming fireball, by the way!) But, hit 'Forward' Down
Forward High Punch, and instead of throwing a fireball, you can perform the
AuhYuken! (That's a super-uppercut vertical spinning punch move which will
launch the fighter straight up into the air!) These classic moves have become
the standard in just about all fighting games everywhere!
This is generally a two-person fighting game. There
are about a dozen characters that players can choose to fight as. You can play
with another live person if you have an additional controller, or you can just
simply play against the computer.
As the different versions and upgrades to this
classic game have been released over the years, many new characters or 'Street
Fighters' have been introduced to the game.
Basically, all their moves are the same. With the
minor exception of a few characters.
Ehonda is a sumo wrestler who has moves similar to
Chung Lee, which is a girl fighter. Very easy to do their moves, just press the
punch or kick key rapidly repeatedly. It performs a basic combo.
I love the music for this game. The music, has also
been revamped and danced around a bit.! But, it's basically the same theme
music that was originally introduced with the game over two decades ago!
As this game started out on the SEGA platform, it
became so popular, that it spread to all the other platforms as well!
I used to make a killing off this game when I was
younger! Basically, my brother, and our cousins, and even a few friends would
take turns fighting with each other. The winner gets to keep the controller,
while the loser must give up his controller to the next player. We would even
play for quarters sometimes!
I tell you, I was unbeatable! I was just so fast
with my button pressing fingers and my thinking strategies! I could throw
Adukens all dam day! My brother and the gang would swear out that I was
cheating somehow! But, it wasn't cheating! It's called skill! LOL!
This game would probably never go out of style, and
of course the trends continue to remind us of this fact. I mean, newer revamped
versions may be introduced, but look at the foundation!
That goes to show you!
The more things change, the more things stay the
same!
Thank you for reading!
Warmly;
